June 17, 2026 | 1 PM Whale Watch

Two pods of orca whales close to home! Today was absolutely beautiful and we spent almost the entire trip with Bigg’s killer whales. We started cruising out of Guemes Channel towards Blakely Island. We admired the coastline and spotted bald eagles in the trees.

Shortly after we met up with the T124A2s, a pod of 3! The trio was working north in travel mode, tight together. Their exhalations were stunning in afternoon sunshine!

After lots of great views, we turned back towards Anacortes because another exciting report came in… the T123s!! This pod is one of our favorites, featuring mom Sidney and her three kiddos Stanley, Lucky, and Darcy. We had some awesome passes and it was so cool watching them swim right by Cap Sante!
We followed as they did a loop through the bay and ultimately pointed north, swimming along Hat Island. Nothing beats watching these orcas in the wild!

Back to back Bigg’s meant a FULL day of watching whales. From start to finish, today was all about the orcas!
