We headed out for another perfect day at sea, and we were not disappointed at all. Our first stop was at Pointer island where we found dozens of cormorants and gulls as well as a nice bob of harbor seals. We headed inner island after that with looks at the occasional turkey vulture and many rhinoceros auklets. We even had a fly by from a belted king fisher. Pushing far to the west and into Canada,Captain carl got us some orca whales and we were so excited. It turned out to be the T123 pod which is a family of four Bigg's killer whales. All four were in the mix today, Sydney, Stanley, Lucky, and Darcy, and they gave us a lot of great views. We headed back to the east after that and swung by Spieden island to check out some bald eagles and a few big groups of Steller sea lions before returning home through the heart of the San Juan islands.
