It was such a beautiful afternoon with Bigg’s killer whales! With the sun shining down, we made our way into the heart of the San Juan Islands. We spotted bald eagles in the trees and lots of cormorants swimming by the coastlines.
Between Shaw and San Juan Island, we met up with the T46B pod of Bigg’s killer whales! The group was split but we got some amazing looks and passes from this family. We especially enjoyed seeing the new 2024 babe and 2023 calf!
We spent a lot of time with this pod as they continued north. Finally, we broke away and did a stop at Spieden Island for some lovely Steller sea lions. We continued inner island back home and had amazing views with the afternoon lighting. What an amazing day!
