It was a fine day to be out at sea as the westerly winds blew in and began to clear the smokey air for us. We headed up through the Saddle bags into Bellingham Bay where we joined the T99's who were settling in for a nap. After some great looks we noticed there was an extra orca whale in the mix, T37A4 "Crinkle" was traveling close to Holly as the pod of six orcas slowly moved through the calm waters of the bay. After some time we headed over to Eliza island and found a nice big job of harbor seals, dozens of cormorants and even a belted king fisher out fishing. The weather got really nice at this point with the sun coming out and Kulshan finally climbing out of her smokey blanket to greet us as we circled back to the whales for some final orca time. We headed back to the dock after that with blue skies all around.
