April 19, 2026 | 1 PM Whale Watch

It felt like a midsummer day with warm weather all around and calm seas taking us west through the San Juan Islands. Captain Carl found us some bald eagles on Shaw Island as we cruised through Cayou Pass and after that we had a fun fly by from a belted kingfisher in Pole Pass.

We continued west and joined up the T123 pod of Bigg's killer whales near Stuart Island! Sydney, Stanley, Lucky, and Darcy were all there, traveling east together towards the direction we had just come. It was great spending time with this familiar family.

After some time we branched off and found a nice big group of Steller sea lions on Spieden Island before we got a few more looks at the T123's and waved goodbye. Heading back to the east through Wasp Pass it ended up being a most magnificent day!
